Reflection

At the beginning of this semester, I was astonished when I realised '013966 e-Learning Experiences' is one of my core subjects. I thought it would be all about programming and such, which is totally different from my arts degree. But as the course started, the tutorials on each week and the three assignments allow me to have a better understanding e-Learning.

Assessment task 1.1 was quite fun. After finishing my initial PLE, I have a clearer concept of myself as an e-Learner. Assessment 2 gave me the opportunity to take an online course, which was the very first time I ever learn something online. The group presentation which is Assessment 3 enables me to know more about the current issues of e-Learning at an organisational perspective.

Assessment task 1.2 requires us to develop our own e-portfolio. I could never imagine that I am now using a blog at the end of the semester! Blogger was not my first choice, I selected Prezi as my tool because I feel more comfortable using it. However,  I realised I should try something new, that is when I first attempt to explore Blogger. I believed going out of my own comfort zone is when learning starts to occur. It was indeed a great step for me.

I have always heard my friends writing their blogs on a daily basis. It is unbelievable that it is now my turn! I still remember that tutorial when we were taught using different technologies: Prezi, Blogger, Wikispaces and Evernote. I was really glad I did not miss that tutorial which benefits a lot to me.

'E-learning experiences' is indeed a useful subject for students in all different faculties. I am now convinced that technologies not only provide entertainment but also promote learning. I am looking forward to explore more on technologies in order to upgrade myself in terms of competence.
